Low sexual drive commonly occurs with changes in relationships, major life changes such as pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, menopause, hormone imbalance, fatigue or illness. Often, medications used for mental health disorders and contraception can also cause low sex drive.

Treatment for low libido depends on the underlying cause. Sometimes a pelvic exam is needed to check for problems that may be causing low libido.
